Nancy "Gypsy" Kevorkian
Nancy Kevorkian is the Founder and Dean of Belly Dance College.  Her nickname is "Gypsy". 
She resides in southern Florida but she was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. 
Nancy Kevorkian is proud of her Armenian heritage.  As a child, she loved to dance to a variety of Middle Eastern music. 
"Gypsy" definitely knows a thing or two about  the world of belly dance.  She is a professional belly dancer, Certified Instructor, choreographer, sword dancer, and Shamadan performer.  In addition to the US, she has performed all over the world including China, Viet Nam, Thailand, South Africa, and throughout South America.
Nancy is dedicated to bettering the health and well-being of women around the world.
-- Nancy created fun, easy dance-fitness programs including Belly-Dancercise for adults and Wigglecise for children.
-- Nancy is an inspirational speaker and supports the battle against obesity.
-- Nancy received a special national award called "Second-Half  Champions" from Wells Fargo Advisors which was awarded to unique individuals that positively affects others on a national level.
-- Honored with Inspiration Award / Canyon Ranch in association with Health Magazine.
-- "Women Who Inspire" award.  Women's Outlook Magazine in association with WENG News Radio.
-- Most notably, Nancy is the only belly dancer in US history to receive the Community Service Award from the White House in 2010 as per the President's Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition.
